EL ORDEN PÚBLICO ROMANO: MODELOS DE SEGURIDAD Y VIGILANCIA POLICIAL

Resumen


Este estudio examina el problema de la seguridad y el orden público en el imperio romano. Los súbditos imperiales tuvieron mecanismos y protocolos “policiales” que los defendieron de la delincuencia, de criminales, bandidos y multitudes descontroladas. Así, se analizarán las funciones y acciones del ejército romano en calidad de modelo institucional y de la autoayuda ciudadana, como modelo de prevención y control del orden social interno.
